    January: 0 hours

As we head into this week, we are starting back in person tomorrow. It has definitely been a roller coaster this last month with major surges in Covid cases across the country and we have all had to adjust. While it felt eerily like March 2020 all over again, I am really looking forward to being back in the classroom and getting back together with the class. So far, this semester has been great. I have enjoyed all of our new classes and look forward to the material we plan to cover over these next few months. May, while still 3 months away, is going to get here much faster than we all know. With this program, many of us preparing for the MCAT, and then eventually beginning applications in the summer, we all have a packed schedule. Every day we are closer and closer to achieving our dream of medical school and while the road may seem long, I am truly excited for what my future holds. Looking ahead for this semester it looks like we have a ton planned regarding the program. We have been told we are going to have another opportunity to take part in a simulation. This was a great learning experience in the fall and was so much fun. To add to all of that, at the end of the month is Mardi Gras. While some of my classmates may be getting ready to experience the festival season for the first time, I am thrilled to have it back in action this year. Lastly, regarding community service, I have not had the chance to complete any hours this last month, but plan to keep volunteering at the food bank throughout the semester as much as I can.
