 Blog 1:     ​      The beginning of my master's program definitely did not get off to the start I had imagined. After half online and half in-person classes for the last year and a half, I was eager to get back into the "normal" way of things. It had been a long year and I think we were all ready to have some normalcy back in our lives. The first week went great and I was excited to see what the rest of the year had to offer. Then came hurricane Ida. Having gone to Tulane as an undergraduate, I was no stranger to hurricanes, though throughout my time here I had yet had to evacuate. Growing up, I had experienced my fair share of major storms, and only once in my life have I had to leave town. Though at that time, I was almost too young to remember much. Knowing most people would be trying to leave town all at once, I decided to leave at the crack of dawn in hopes of beating the traffic.
